POPULAR ROUTE FROM CAPE TOWN: (The route via the N7 and Malmesbury is a “Quick” alternative if there is rush-hour traffic on the N1 to Paarl)

Take the N1 north (direction Paarl) and exit left at the R44 ( Wellington / Klapmuts ) off-ramp. Continue for 22km. Just before you enter Wellington, turn left into Distillery street (at the large grey cellar next to the dam) which is signposted R46 (Porterville / Ceres.) After 40km you will enter the Nuwekloof Pass and 2km after exiting the pass, turn right into “Tulbaghweg” (at the first 4-way crossing). 1 km further, turn RIGHT again (at the very first crossing). At the T-junction (150m further) you will see our gate and signboard on your right.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE VIA THE N7 / MALMESBURY / RIEBEECK KASTEEL

Take the N7 north (off the N1) towards Malmesbury. As you enter Malmesbury, exit left at the R46 (Darling / Malmesbury / Ceres) off-ramp. This will take you under the highway and into Malmesbury. Continue to the T- junction and turn left into Voortrekker road and IMMEDIATELY RIGHT into Rainier street (i.e. follow the “Ceres” signs). As you go up the hill in Rainier street, turn right again into Piet Retief which is signposted “R45 Paarl / Riebeeck Kasteel”. About 3km out of Malmesbury (just after Swartland Wine Cellar), turn left at the road marked “R46 Riebeeck Kasteel / Ceres”. Stay on the R46 towards Ceres until you get to a T-junction after Hermon. Go left here (marked “R44 Porterville / R46 Ceres”) This road will take you through the Nuwekloof Pass and 2km after exiting the pass, turn right into “Tulbaghweg” (at the first 4-way crossing). 1 km further, turn RIGHT again (at the very first crossing). At the T-junction (150m further) you will see our gate and signboard

on your right.

SCENIC SLOWER ALTERNATIVE FROM CAPE TOWN:

From Wellington, take the “Baineskloof” pass towards Ceres. From the Ceres road, turn left to Wolseley / Tulbagh. After driving through Wolseley, turn left at the T-junction onto the R46. At the next slipway intersection turn left again (signposted R46 Malmesbury). Approx 5km further, turn left into “Tulbagh Road” (at the first 4-way crossing). 1 km further, turn RIGHT again (at the very first crossing). At the T-junction (150m further) you will see our gate and signboard on your right.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE “N1” AT WORCESTER: (if you are approaching via the N1 from the north or if you used the Du Toitskloof Pass / Huguenot tunnel.

At the Shell Ultra City, turn off the N1 towards Ceres. After 25km, turn right at the T-junction towards Ceres. From the Ceres road, turn left to Wolseley / Tulbagh. After driving through Wolseley, turn left at the T-junction onto the R46. At the next slipway intersection turn left again (signposted R46 Malmesbury). ROUTE FROM CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:

Follow the signs to get you onto the N2 Highway (east) towards Somerset West (and George). Once you are on the N2 east, take the R300 highway Northwards (direction Belville) until you get to the N1 highway. Get onto the N1 in the direction of Paarl (N1 north) and exit left at the R44 ( Wellington / Klapmuts ) off-ramp. Continue for 22km.
